When an image is loaded into Melpia, each neural network classifies the image independently. After classification, the 100 networks establish an «agreement» score based on the identified class and the image elements used to enter that class. Melpia scores represent the proportion of agreement among the 100 networks.
This principle replicates a human panel of 100 people under the assumption that everyone is asked the question «tell me what is in this image» and the result is the number of panelists who respond to the same answer.
